I Believe

The Giants are back in it. Who would have thought that a team like this one, fraught with injuries to their most key players and with no chance of finishing the season with a record over .500 would have a legitimate shot at the playoffs? Not me. But that would make me wrong. After a come-from-behind win in the 9th inning over the league-leading San Diego Padres, the Giants are back in the playoff race. Barry Bonds is back, Moises Alou is living up to his tremendous potential, and Randy Winn is proving to be exactly the solution that the Giants had long needed in both center field and the leadoff spot in the batting order. They're still 3 games out with only 6 left to play, but three of those are against the team they trail and the other three are against the Diamondbacks. I'm glad to see the Giants doing well again. The one thing I don't like about LA is the Dodgers. Looks like I'll have to buy MLB Season Ticket. It's really my only option.
