Hitting the Road

It's been a long time since I've posted anything. I've been damn busy, what with preparing for my move and all. That's right, in case you haven't heard yet, I'm leaving the wretched confines of San Francisco and moving to LA. Technically speaking I already moved. Pretty much all the stuff I own was thrown in the back of a U-Haul last weekend as Pete, Ford, and I made the trip to down south. Up here I'm living in my former room, sleeping on a couch borrowed from Johnny D and living out of a duffel bag. It pretty much sucks, and it was quite embarrassing when one of the girls from upstairs locked herself out of her apartment and Ford brought her into my room to check her e-mail to try to get her roommate's phone number. The room seriously looks like shit right now. One beat up dresser, a thrashed couch, a sleeping bag, and some clothes in a box and on the floor. As Steve and I were taking off for work he mentioned that she was going to hang out in my room until her roommate came back with the key. Not that I'm opposed to that. It was a nice thing to do and under normal circumstances I would have been quite happy to accomodate her. Just the room looks like shit...and did I mention the couch smells like urine? Well it does, and disctinctly so. Hey, like I said it's a borrowed couch and beggars can't be choosers. At least I'm moving so I won't have to deal with it.
LA kicks ass and I can't wait to be down there full time. San Francisco just isn't the place for me. I'm going to be down there all next week looking for a job, then I'll be back up here for two more weeks before moving down full time. Every day I feel better and better about my decision to move.
