My Towel Is Dry (and other moral triumphs)

In San Francisco I used three towels. I rotated them, using each every third day. I kept my window open during the day to maintain the airflow and I made sure there was as much light in my room as possible. Still, without fail every day when I stepped out of the shower to dry off it was with a wet towel. Perhaps this wouldn't bother some people. I hated it. Of course my fury was compounded by the fact that I hated my job, my dirty apartment, the city I lived in, and all the people in it, so who knows how big of a deal having a wet towel was, but it's sure nice to have a dry one. I'm using one towel now. I used it twice yesterday and it was dry both times, as well as this morning when I took another shower.

I'm going to go to the store now. I'm going to wear shorts and a T-shirt even though it's 6pm and I'm going to do it content with the knowledge that when I get back I won't have to drive around looking for parking.

If you haven't yet checked out John Walsh's blog, you should do so when you get a chance.
